Virtural Woodstock

Every Saturday this year 2021 I am hosting a virtual jam on JamKazam. The inaugural jam on January 16th started out slow but by the second half, some very noteworthy Jammers came on and created magic with me… You should have heard Truckin with a Banjo and blues harp offered up to us by Jon P.

January 23rd Jam was a lot of fun again! Jon P, joined again and we harmonized on many tunes. Others joined quickly and we had a quality jam culminating with With a little Help from My Friends and Pink Floyd’s Breath! Yes. we do divert from the Woodstock bands from time to time.

January 30th ended with regulars coming to jam. We worked on a lot of Neil Young and once again found a way to Pink Floyd Breathe via Down by the River. Wonderful time! We also tried out, Mean Mr. Mustard, Polythene Pam and She Came in Through the Bathroom Window. IF YOU TUNE IN TO THE 1ST HOUR IT ISN’T VERY GOOD. A LOT OF LATENCY ISSUES WITH JAMMERS TRYING OUT THEIR EQUIPMENT. I recommend the last 2 hours for hearing some good stuff.

The Virtual Woodstock Jam on Saturday, March 6th was amazing. We had some hot players who harmonized enough to let go of my TC Helicon Harmony G- XT layering. We jammed on the Abbey Road medley from Mean Mister Mustard through to The End. A Fiddler came to play with us… it was great to hear that color in the music. Late in the jam with started the Pink Floyd Set with phenomenal results. I am developing a Pink Floyd Mini Concert called Butch r Baker & The Dark Side.

Here is the 50 minutes set played as one Medley:

  • Shine On You Crazy Diamond.
  • Hey You
  • Breathe
  • Time
  • Wish You Were Here
  • Comfortably Numb
  • Us & Them
  • Goodbye Blue Sky

I am excited to make this a regular event. Here is the fan link if you want to listen.. It will be rough for a while but we will dial it in… and I think we are there. Let me know what your experience like.

If you want to join the playing, keep in mind, it takes time to set up your equipment. Here is your link:

Join and Jam!

I am thinking of a fantasy Beatle set based on the thought of The Beatles Headline at Woodstock! Their last live concert was on the rooftop in January 1969 and that was from the mindset McCartney wanted to do a major televised show at the Royal Albert Hall. Let’s imagine that concert. See the playlist below:

Butch r Baker is Billy B Baker

I am happy to say that both my persona are the same.   I have published under Butch r Baker and will soon begin working simply as Billy B Baker.   I would like to move away from the myriad google and Amazon references to the serial killer named Butcher Baker.   This will take some time and I ask for your patience.  Wherever possible I will employ redirects to find me. .

It’s official: A Woodstock 50th anniversary concert is coming to the original site of the 1969 music festival in Upstate New York next year.

The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts confirmed Thursday that it will host a three-day event on August 16-18, 2019, titled “Bethel Woods Music and Culture Festival.” The “pan-generational music, culture, and community event” will celebrate the golden anniversary of the original Woodstock concert with a series of concerts, “TED-style talks,” and a “We Are Golden” history exhibit at the Museum at Bethel Woods.
